Sip, Swirl & Twirl at Oxley Estate Winery

Join Oxley Estate Winery on March, 16, 2013 for their monthly series, Sip, Swirl & Twirl. Doors open at 5:30pm for the reception which will include wine upon your arrival. Dinner begins at 6:00pm when you?ll get to enjoy a lovely 3-course meal. The menu consists of:
  • Potage Crecy Soup: bright, fresh orange carrots, short grain rice, shallots and chicken stock simmered and enhanced with cream, thyme and swirls of creme fraiche.
  • Roast Loin of Pork: rataouille, garlic mashed potatoes in a rosemary jus.
  • Apple ?and Walnut Strudel with Creme Anglais: coffee and tea.

After dinner, you will be guided through some dance steps and twirl the night away.

Saint Patrick?s Day has come to be associated with everything Irish: anything green and gold, shamrocks and luck. Join Colchester Ridge Estate Winery as they celebrate Saint Patrick?s Day with their Irish lunch from 11:00am to 4:00pm on March 17, 2013. Choose from Irish Stew, Guinness Steak & Mushroom pie, ploughman?s platter or bangers & mash. Still room for more? Finish your meal off with a delicious Irish Whiskey Bread Pudding!

When you stick your nose in a glass, all you smell is?wine? How do you get better at identifying all the distinctive aromas that characterize the reds and whites you drink? Here is how!

Come explore the aromatic wine world with Colchester Ridge Estate Winery?co-owner, Nancy Gorski, as she demonstrates you how to better distinguishes the aromas in your wine on March 23, 2013! Once you have experienced known aroma standards, you will find it easier to identify those aromas when you encounter them in your favourite CREW wines.

The event takes place from 1:00pm to 3:00pm and costs $25 per person. Entry includes all your wine and food. There is limited seating so call to reserve your spot today.

The City Grill?s Easter Specials

The City Grill is hoping you join them to celebrate Good Friday and?Easter?Sunday for some brunch. On March 29 and April 1, 2013, enjoy a buffet style brunch from 11:00am to 3:00pm. The buffet will include treats like eggs benedict, an egg and omelette station, lemon roasted chicken and mushrooms and more.

Cost is $32.95 per person with kids under 12 able to eat for free.

On March 30, 2013, join us for Windsor?s?original coffee, tea and dessert food and cultural tour!

Become a coffee and tea connoisseur while taking a stroll through the historic Old Walkerville neighbourhood on this behind-the-scenes adventure to experience the sights, sounds, and tastes of the world?s two most popular drinks: coffee and tea.

Along the tour we?ll:

  • Visit the quirky Taloola Caf? and experience a ?tea ritual? while discovering different flavours and styles of tea.
  • Stop in Salute Espresso Bar where we?ll taste the difference between French Press and Drip before moving on to an interactive demonstration where you?ll not only learn the difference between classic espresso vs. new adventure espresso, but you?ll also learn to pull your own!
  • Finish off at Thyme to Go and be whisked into their quaint kitchen to watch the chef create before being offered a dessert of your own.

Price: The Crawl is $45. All tickets must be purchased in advance

Time: The Crawl is a 3 hour tour. Starts at 8:30am and ends approximately 11:30am.

Tuesday, April 2, 2013, Mettawas Station will host another of their?monthly?Un-Wine-D dinner events. This months theme will be ?flavours of South America? as you will taste the wines and foods of South America right in Kingsville. Four food and wine pairings to tantalize your taste buds for only $35 per person. Be sure to make your reservations.

On April 6, 2013, join us for what is quickly becoming a patron favourite. This tour would definitely be one of?Don Draper?s favourites?as we start off at the Canadian Club Brand Centre as we take in the history of the building and brand before sampling the Mad Men character?s drink of choice, Canadian Club Whisky.

After learning all the about history full of famous (and infamous) characters that were big fans of the Canadian Club brand, we take a stroll through Olde Walkerville discovering it?s architecture as well as some well known and not so well known tales associated with the area.

We then will visit?Walkerville Brewery?and sample their beers while being walked through the facility and learning about the brewing process.

From beer we head over to The Willistead?for another beverage treat.

By joining our tour you?ll receive an experience and some extras that you won?t be able to have on your own

Guests will enjoy:

  • A tasting and tour of Canadian Club Heritage Centre
  • Tastings, snack and a tour at Walkerville Brewery
